An introduction
Welcome to my company page,
I am Kings and I am an experienced all-round
carpenter and a qualified joiner,
I've lived and worked in the Netherlands since
1990, always working at my trade in some form or
another.
Kings Timmerwerk was set up as an independent
company in 2000 and is still growing
strong.
I've written this page as a place for you to see
what my company can do, and indeed what my
company could do for you.

Services and Products
Being a qualified joiner means that I can, from
my workshop produce any new product to your
precise specifications.
From doors and windows and frames to staircases
and balustrades to architraves and plinths to
kitchens and cupboards.
Along side this I am able to offer my services as
an all-round carpenter capable of not only
fitting the products that I make but also capable
of taking on any restoration, renovation or
conversion work in and around your
property.
As a one-man company I usually work alone but if
your project demands the attention of different
trades I do have a team of tradesmen I can call
on to get the job done, they include an
electrician, a plumber and a top-class
plasterer/bricklayer.
All in all a formidable team of professionals to
deal with any work.
So if you simply want a new window supplied and
fitted or you want your double sliding-doors
restored to their original state, or you may need
a new dormer for your attic conversion or even
your whole kitchen extended,
I'm the man to see, for these things and many
more.
Work Experience
My personal work experience in the Netherlands
started in 1990 when I worked for Norhtgo
Deuren in Katwijk, it was here I first got my
passion for doors.
I then worked at vanLeeuwen Kozijnen in
Noordwijkerhout where I eventually headed the
'hand-crafted' department, developing among other
things my own unique system for creating
round/bowed windows and frames.
It was after several years of single-handedly
running the workshop for Caspers
Aannemersbedrijf in Katwijk that I eventually
decided to rely on my own company as a way of
life, which I am still doing to this day.
It was while working for Leo Caspers that I
gained my experience as a carpenter, having to
regularly work with the different teams of
professional carpenters outside the workshop.
Qualifications
I left collage as a qualified draftsman, though I
never took it up as a trade, it still honed my
technical abilities and insight, taught me how to
read drawings and plans and developed my eye for
detail. All attributes I make use of in my work
today.
It was during my time at vanLeeuwen Kozijnen that
I followed a four year 'carpentry and joiners'
course through the SH & M, 'Stichting
Hout en Meubelen' an organization and
qualification recognized nationally in the
building and wood-working sector.
Material
As I am a firm believer in supplying my customer
with quality work, I make use of the best
wholesalers that I know of in this area, they
include:
-
Kruyt for all furnishings and fittings
(where I also buy my tools),
-
van Kempen, Katwijk for all my timber,
-
van Kesteren in Voorhout for glass, and
-
Omtzigt in Rijnsburg for all building
material.
Estimates and Quotes
For any standard work such as supplying windows
and doors I can return a quote by post or via an
e-mail, though I do require a detailed drawing
including all measurements and
specifications.
Having said this I still prefer to personally
measure up any work and judge it for myself, this
also gives us a chance to meet, face to
face.
All quotes and estimates are free of charge and
carry no legal obligations.
